THE MOJO FINS

The Mojo Fins create melodic, rhapsodic, evocative and unforgettable rock that traverses the poles of emotion and speaks to the soul. Now, with the release of their breathtaking second album ‘Shake The Darkness’, The Mojo Fins’ star prepares to ascend to even greater heights.

MAN RAY SKY

The sound of Man Ray Skay live can be an intense affair, with melodic lullabies burshing up against experimental noise pieces; the two opposing but strangely complimentary sides of Man Ray Sky.

THE GYPSY SWITCH

Drawing from diverse musical influences, including Eastern-European Folk, Rock’n'Roll and Blues, The Gypsy Switch are a Brighton based street band providing an eclectic mix of original and covered material from the likes of The Doors and Daniel Johnston. Their shows are botrh playful and edgy with their strange blend of genre-bending instrumentation, satirical lyrics and a uniquely engaging performance.

TWIN BROTHER

Twin Brother is the stage name of multi-instrumentalist Alex Wells. Possessing a strong vocal likened to Nick Cave and Tom Waits by Michael Eavis. He will excite fans of Arcade Fire, The National and The Strokes. Alex is a shining example of the wealth of unsigned talent that is coming from Brighton. He has recieved plaudits for his live performance playing with his band, catching the eye in the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition and since at shows in Brighton and London.

FELLOW STRANGER

Luke Sital-Singh is Fellow Stranger and Fellow Stranger is Luke Sital-Singh. Under that elemental handle, the young songwriter from Brighton has his roots in an eclectic mix of songsmiths both young and old, from Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Joni Mitchell to Damien Rice, Josh Ritter and Tallest Man On Earth. Sonically Luke and his band nod towards the grandeur of Sigur Ros with haunting harmonies akin to Bon Iver , while all the time remaining true to the one-man origins of each song.

“Since their debut album in 2009 The Mojo Fins have cranked up the epic levels; these songs soar with anthemic confidence. The production stewardship of Dave Eringa (Manics, Idlewild) truly brings the songs to life, juggling crescendos of analogue guitar warmth with live strings and keys against towering vocal harmonies. The tunes are there, the hooks are there – you’re unlikely to hear a more accomplished and self- assured album this year. The Mojo Fins just have to transfer it to a national audience, and that can only be a matter of time.” - (NC) Brighton Source

See The Mojo Fins ‘Live’ at Lewes Constitutional Club.

Saturday 24th September, Doors 7:30pm.

Tickets £5 on the door or free for members.

“The much acclaimed Mojo Fins definitely do look the part – cool with an anorak twist. Their lyrics are deep with a capital P (poetic and philosophical) and rhythms are intricate works of musical art. A tight set, melodic riffs and Keane-like vocals all made for a luscious sound that could well set itself apart in the world of pop rock. 4/5” - Latest 7 Magazine
